NPD Group Launches Retail Sales Tracking for Beauty in Germany. Service, set to launch in 2019, will collect point-of-sale data covering both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar sales. – Global information company, the NPD Group, today announced the launch of its Beauty Retail Tracking Service in Germany, a new point-of-sale (POS) service tracking sales of prestige beauty products, including fragrance, make-up, and skincare in Germany.

This service, set to launch in 2019, will collect point-of-sale data covering both e-commerce and brick-and mortar sales, offering subscribing clients a clear and complete picture of the industry, and an ability to keep up to date on market trends. They will also be able to access in-depth views of sales volume and market share at the category, brand, attribute, and product level.

Adding Germany to the growing number of countries included

With the addition of Germany to The NPD Group’s growing portfolio of Beauty industry services, the company is now able to deliver data and insights from eight key countries, including France, U.K., Italy, Spain, U.S., Canada, Mexico, and, of course, Germany. The Launch of the Retail Sales Tracking for Beauty in Germany was established in partnership with the German Perfumery Retail Trade Federation, Bundesverband Parfümerien. “Our common aim was to provide better quality sales data to both: our members and suppliers.” Elmar Keldenich, Managing Director of Bundesverband Parfümerien comments.
