Symrise AG – Dr Jean-Yves Parisot takes over as Chairman of the Executive Board from Dr Heinz-Jürgen Bertram. Dr Heinz-Jürgen Bertram hands over the chairmanship of the Executive Board of Symrise AG to Dr Jean-Yves Parisot. At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board appointed Dr Jean-Yves Parisot, member of the Executive Board and responsible for the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment, as the new Chairman of the Executive Board with effect from the end of 31 March 2024. At the same time, the Supervisory Board extended Dr Jean-Yves Parisot’s contract by a further four years until the end of September 2028. Dr Heinz-Jürgen Bertram is retiring on the best of terms after 21 years with the company, including 19 years on the Executive Board and 15 years as CEO.

Dr Jean-Yves Parisot joined the company in 2014 and has been a member of the Symrise Executive Board since 2016. He is responsible for the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment and will continue to do so on an interim basis until a successor is appointed for this role. With a doctorate in veterinary medicine, he has also been President of the International Organisation of the Flavour Industry (IOFI) since 2023. He has extensive management experience and has held various management positions at Pfizer, Rhone Poulenc/Rhodia, Danisco, Air Liquide and the Diana Group until its merger with Symrise.
