William Koeberlé becomes President of the FEPD. William Koeberlé, former CEO of French perfumery chain Marionnaud and president of French perfumery association FFPS since 2010, has taken over as president of European perfumery association FEPD.
As chairman of a multinational committee with members from Belgium, Germany, France, Italy and Austria, he will now be the voice of European perfumery retailers for the next two years.
Germany is represented on the association’s executive committee by Klaus Kobberger as Vice-President and Barbara Summerer as Secretary General. The Austrian perfumery trade is represented on the committee by Kommerzialrat Martin Hittaller as Vice-President. Elmar Keldenich coordinates the association’s operational business as its Director and in his new role as the organisation’s Treasurer.

Born in Germany and raised in Madagascar and Switzerland, William Koeberlé is considered an expert on the French and German perfumery markets as well as the European retail landscape, in addition to his professional home in France.
After working for CORA, Pomodes, Carrefour and Marionnaud, he took over the management of the French perfumery chain in 2008 following its acquisition by the Chinese AS Watson Group. In this role, he drove forward the consolidation of the international business, the structural realignment of the company and the modernisation of the branch network.
A passionate music and opera lover, sportsman and father of two children, he remains connected to the industry in two roles after stepping down as CEO of Marionnaud: in addition to his position in the French association, he is also president of the European association.
Training and further education and modernisation of deposit agreements
Here, he intends to use his international experience to promote the interests of the European perfumery retail trade. Koeberlé sees the association’s work focusing on vocational training and further education, as well as the modernisation of deposit agreements and selective distribution.
